The legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this Privacy Policy is to enable me to legitimately maintain a mailing list of subscribers and fulfil online orders. I will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. I will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies.

Online orders

If you are making a purchase on my website, I collect name and address information as required to send out your order. I retain this information for a maximum of 3 years, after which time the information will be deleted. My website does not collect any of your banking details, which are collected by PayPal.

Mailing list subscription

I use MailChimp for managing subscribers to my mailing list. I only use this information so that I can send emails to you, and I will not use this information for any other purposes, or share this list with anyone else. You may ask for your information to be removed using the unsubscribe information at the bottom of all emails which are sent out. See MailChimp’s privacy notice.

Log Files

My site follows a standard practice of using log files to record visits to the website. All hosting companies do this are part of the hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and the number of clicks. They are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, this site uses “cookies”. These cookies are used to store information including the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information. I use Google analytics to track anonymous visitor usage of the site but other do not include any third-party cookies. You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options.

Vivienne Ridley does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best efforts to promptly remove such information from our records.
